Ren was furious-furious enough to scare everyone in the room-but I didn't understand until later that his anger was protection. By the time I realized, it was already too late. When the blade went in, everything went silent. Even after it was pulled free, it still felt like it was there, an invisible weight pressed into my skin, a reminder of every mistake I'd made. So I pressed a gun to my head. It felt like the easiest way out. I couldn't see another ending. But Ren could. He showed it to me when he killed Snoke. When he offered himself to the mafia in my place. He was ready to be the sacrifice. But I refused to let him be one. I fought back, defending him when he couldn't defend himself. I drove my blade into the mafia leader, and the Knights finished the rest. Screams, bullets, then silence. It was over. But at what cost? im aware, this is balls.
