In this story there is a new girl (Claire) that just moved into Castle Rock the summer before 6th grade. She is the same age as the boys in the gang, and she has no interest in hanging out with the girls of the town. So Claire tries making friends and runs into this interesting group of boys. For anyone who hasn't read "The Body." Written by Stephen King; the book that "Stand By Me." is based off of.. there are parts of this story that are referring to the book. If I think anyone would be confused, I'll put notes at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy!

This story is a fan fiction piece about the ending scene of the movie "Stand by Me." In this story, the ending scene takes a turn towards romance and allows the reader to imagine a different connection between two of the main characters: Gordie and Chris.
