[Real friends would walk right in and say "I'm home!".] Fake friends will help you up when you fall. [Real friends would jump on top of you and shout "DOG-PILE!".] Fake friends are around for awhile. [Real friends are for life.] Fake friends would say "Love you." in a joking manner. [Real friends would say "Love you." and mean it.] These are all the things that Addilyn does. Not that it's on purpose, however. Being labeled as a "Fake Friend" had never happened to Addilyn, until her "Best Friend", Olivia, got sick of her behavior and began acting the same way, even going more towards the "Mean Friend" side. They're both known as the bad kids but it's much more than that. There's way more to them than just the surface. And they discover that, once they're paired on a health class assignment together. They discover that there's a lot more to their personalities than what others think of them. Love, a few misunderstandings, and a lot of mint chocolate chip ice cream later, the two find that they make a great pair. The world has changed in the future, the past now put behind and forgotten. Everybody at birth is labeled with a number formed from their qualities. Their life is now based on that label, which slowly deteriorates society. Rebellions begin to create, but can things go back to normal? Being born with a score of 100 puts you in a position of power immediately upon birth. You are born with all natural qualities. The only male with a score of 100 has abilities, supernatural abilities, that nobody can conquer. However, no other 100 is ever known about. Sierra Lynn is the first known girl to be born with a 100. The doctor who had to test her assets labeled her a 34. With such a low number, she was thrown out into the poor side of the town, forgotten and mistreated. What happens when the truth of her number comes out? Will chaos erupt, and her Prince Charming come get her or will everything be hidden away from the world.

it all began when the ground started to shake. I thought it would never stop, we all did. but when it did things only got worse. -dystopian writing -when the world restarts people are given levels (different colours are the levels) -you have to respect people who are in any levels higher than your own.

FREAK. Feared by all, avoided by all cost. Everyone has a story. A story that would determine two things. Either you're a Freak or not. They call it labeling. Once labeled as a Freak, you're all alone, secluded and hated. No friends nor adults will look at you as a human being anymore. Labeled, Asa Blackwell finds himself amongst a small group of Freaks and struggles to see the light from this dark discrimination, this streak of dark revenge. Most of all, he struggles to let go of the past and make people see him as who he is, not who people think he is. Asa joins upon the labeled who struggles the same path as him, finding their way to plot revenge, to get rid of labeling once and for all, together. Would he accept his fate as a Freak and carry on, or would he deny his fate and leave the group and be exposed to the world of discrimination? But he needs to remember one thing, that no matter what he chooses, there's no denying what people see of him in their eyes. There's always that one person that gets undervalued, underestimated and under appreciated. No one ever pays them any attention, they slink into the shadows, not expecting praise or a thank you. They blend into the background not expecting reverence or reward. One day it could be you, it could be your brother, colleague, employee, child or friend. The underdog. One day, just one day, it might be the underdog's day- to step out of the shadows, shine, impress and dazzle. This poem's about why we should never dismiss anyone- everyone has potential :D
