The book begins with the main character, Lillian Allister, who has the ability to turn into a golden eagle. She lived in a little house with her aunt in the outskirts of the city, and before the tenth grade, she had been home schooled all her life. But as her aunt get's busier with work, she is forced to go to her little town's high school. The first day of school was a nightmare, for one of the students found out her secret. Before Lillian knew it, her life was changing with new abilities, a curiosity to what happened to her parents, as well as allies and enemies. Will she be be able to escape her fate created by a traitor? Or end up becoming what she dreaded most?
