[Preview] ~Yuka's POV~ The pampered princess life wasn't for me. Even before father became the emperor, I'd been sneaking out of the inner palace by the time I could run. When I was younger and easily able to be tailed, my father would send servants to tag along and keep an eye on me. When I could outrun them and lose them, my world expanded immensely. I frequently escaped the palace and snuck into the nearby town. My absolute favorite thing to do was sneak into the military offices where the young officers and the young men hoping to join the military offices after passing their civil servant exams trained. When I rubbed charcoal in my hair it turned an ashen black color and lost its sheen making me look more like a commoner. As long as I kept my head down and my ruby red eyes down, no one ever paid me any mind. I'd been sneaking out to attend training. I'd built up an entire persona. Outside of the royal pavilion where I lived with my father, I was no longer Princess Ka Yuka, I was Yuki, an orphan boy who was sponsored by a high ranking official.
