The story took place after Hal Jordan becoming Red Lantern and killed Atrocitus and his fellow red lanterns and now planning to destroy the Red Lantern Core all by himself but he ended up in a final fight against Laira, who was the first one to become the red lantern. Will Hal save Laira?

Laira Hillard is preparing her new journey as the First Galactic Lantern. Her story took place during the events of the Green Lantern Corps during Sinestro's attack. Now Laira plans to help Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps dealing with the Yellow Lantern Army and Red Lantern Army even though Laira Hillard is the Earth twin counterpart of Laira Omoto of Jayd.
