The everyday people of this story play their roles out in a real life cops and robbers amid a rural setting with good ole boys, bad girls, country lake living and small town politics. From the country roads winding through Twin Lakes County to the courthouse in Red Haven, these same characters are the defendants, the lawyers defending them, the prosecutors prosecuting them and the judges sentencing them. Felix and Cry have known each other for years and years, time after time again they spoke, recorded, and shared moments together. Through social media, though-- they had never met before in person. Cry had seen Felix's face through facecams on YouTube and Skype calls, but Felix had never seen Cry's face. He was beginning to be a little more than curious about the other's appearance. Why didn't Cry show his face? Some distant memory and rational long forgotten? Maybe. Or was it because... ...was it because he was hiding something?

Aisling is a sorceress. A very bored sorceress. So bored she started to go to the sea. When coming back to her last walk, she finds that there's a mermaid in her lake. Marina fell in love with a human, the very being her kind has drowned and ate, and wants Aisling, the sorceress of dreams to fulfill her wish to have legs. Aisling gives her the legs that she longed for. But for a price. That price is her voice and if the human she fell in love with will not love her back in the month time period, she will turn back into sea foam by sunset. Sometime later, A merman, who is marinas older brother, comes to her lake ready to kill Aising because Marina was not just any mermaid.... She is the princess of the sea. If the king does not have his daughter back in a week, he will flood the lands, drown the humans and feast on their bodies with the Mer-folk army.

..... "Why can't we be together?" I finally spoke awaiting for him to look at me like we had decided we were somthing. "See that's a good question." He said smiling like he always did, his back against the tree trunk filling him with moss and sap. "No I'm serious this time. You hate her... despise her even." I spoke this biting my lip , I had said something I didn't want to be answer. "It's not easy. I really like you. Me and her...we just understand each other" he said this staring cold into the waves shrugging his shoulders. " I can understand so much," I said this looking down picking at my nails and slightly engulfing into a laugh , a chuckle if you will. "I understand the farthest we can see with our own eyes, why the solar power sucks in a Alaska, the reason the ocean moves, even the airplane manuals are more entertaining than me trying to rap my head around why u keep her around when u have me ?" I was proactively siting up about to leave. And all he could do is watch me. Bc he sat there amazed or whatever the heck he was at this moment that kept him from stopping me. But he didn't.
