My wife went on a normal 'One-week camping trip' with her four friends in the forest. Until, it wasn't normal anymore. Everyone from the trip disappeared without any trace. A month later, dead bodies were found in the lake nearby. And my wife's location and situation were a complete mystery to me. There were no developments on the case aside from the sightings of the dead bodies. And my paranoia was blurring the line between my imagination and reality. So, I decided to take matters into my hands. I'll not rest until I find her. Alive!

this is just a story I made for fun of me and my besties

so this is my first story and I randomly thought of this at 2am. Yea so enjoy:) Edit. This is very thrown together so uh yeah sorry if it doesn't make sense

It all started with a simple decision. A week at the lake, no boat, just me and my grandma. "Hey Mama, lets go to the pool today!" I had no clue how my life was going to change.

Four friends, one summer break, a houseboat, and a newborn trauma.

It was the summer of 2019 and I just finished the fuck out of high school!! "I'm a free woman now bitches!" I said with pride as I ran to my car. "You're an idiot Gin!" Harley yelled at me from where she and Lily were walking towards me. I flipped her off as I threw my bag into the backseat of my rundown, beat-up Jeep. The boys met us at my house about 20 minutes after we'd already gotten there, we all had our stuff and we loaded it into the cars. After we got all the bags in the cars the boys got in Noah's brand new Audi A4 and the girls and I got into my 1976 Jeep CJ-5. And we all head off towards Lily's and Will's, parents' lakeside cabin. We were going to stay there for two weeks and I couldn't be more excited! A/N- If this is bad, I'm sorry, this is my first story. And there will be cussing if that wasn't apparent. When I close my eyes and picture summer, I can smell lake water, sunscreen, and boat exhaust. I can hear the sound of a reel casting, the splash of a fish, his laugh, and the camper jacks creaking. It's the memories with them, the weeks with them, the summer's and autumn's with them, it was when life felt real. But the rest of the year, when we all went back to our homes, it was like playing pretend. Because where they weren't, I didn't want to be.

Jordan Nimsby returns to her hometown of Eagle River in the Northwoods of Wisconsin after a failed career in Big City investigation and losing her cop fiancée to murder in the line of duty. She ends up camped out in her parents' tiny, "storage" cabin off Loon Lake and while working as a barista at a small coffee shop unexpectedly finds herself witnessing a crime. Her instincts took over, and she's now solved a couple of mysteries for the Eagle River PD with the massive assistance of her best friend from high school, Samantha Orwitz, who now happens to be a detective for the department. This time around, Sam calls Jordy with a cold case that has suddenly warmed up quite a bit. Is there really a ghost haunting a recently renovated resort north of town? The two women are determined to find answers.
