After Dr Ram Raghuvanshi fails to save Meenakshi Vaishravan, her elder brother Dashanan Vaishravan decides to take revenge against him. But instead of attacking Ram directly, he decides to target his weakest point. His men kidnap and abuse Ram's free spirited, loving and caring younger brother Lakshman, who was completely unaware of anything and leave him to die alone in a park (modern version of Ashok Vatika) Ram, with the help of his cop friend Hanuman, rescues Lakshman, who is almost dead by then! Now the war begins! Here Ram is Shri Ram and the Ravan's Lanka is the psychological trauma and the physical damage Lakshman faced during that night, which Ram must invade. To defeat Ravan here Ram has to get back his Lakshman! He is waiting with extreme patience, just as he waited for Mata Sita in Treta! And the war is not going on any battlefield here, nor they have guns as weapons. Between the verses of the Ramayan, there are silences and pauses that discuss the unknown with the reader. Glances which are not exchanged, decisions made in the stillness of the moment, grief hidden behind dharma and duty, love spoken only in absence, and fear and anguish expressed in solitude. It was not simple, and it's not easy to express.

Mandavi was born a Rajkumari of Sankashya and raised in the court of Janak, where daughters were not taught silence. They were taught to question, to observe, and to demand answers. Then came the exile. When Ram, Rajkumar of Ayodhya, left for the forest with Sita and Lakshman, the exile did not belong only to those who went with him. It also belonged to those who remained behind. For fourteen years, they waited. Mandavi began those years as a sister and a wife - a young woman whose sister had been sent away for no fault of her own, and whose husband had chosen a harder path to atone for the sins of his house. But kingdoms do not pause for grief. While Rajkumars fulfilled their dharma in the forest, palaces still had to stand, households had to endure, and a kingdom had to be held together. By the time Ram returned, Ayodhya had changed. So had Mandavi. No longer only a sister, nor only a wife, she had become a daughter-in-law, a keeper of a fractured household, and a queen forged by waiting. This is the story of the exile as seen from the palace - of the woman history remembered only in passing, and of the fourteen years that changed her forever.

On the cursed day of Sita Haran, after punishing Marich, Shri Ram returns to the hut, only to find it completely devastated and empty. There was none in the hut, neither Sita nor Lakshman. This is not entirely new. I have a thread with a few LakshMila stories on IF. I have decided to upload them here as well for entertainment purpose only. Most of the stories are rated PG 14. So read them as per your discretion. The stories are not linked unless otherwise stated. Most of them had been prompts given to me by fellow LakshMila fans on IF.

Ramayana. An Indian epic that has lived through the centuries and has only grown even more in the process. An epic that shows ideal characters, many of whom we worship, and other characters from whom we learn what we shouldn't be at any cost. But one thing that has been a constant for many centuries now is the examples we give, referring to the epic. One of the most popular ones being "Be a brother like Rama." Not only is the Ramayana an enchanting tale of love and devotion, but it's also an equally magical example of brotherhood and affection. Brothers who stood with each other through thick and thin. Brothers who would readily sacrifice their life for the other. Brothers who would love the other, and support him when nobody else did. This book brings to you the Ramayana, but this time, the limelight is on the inseparable brothers. *** Disclaimer: Please do not read this book if you do not like humanization of deities. However, I can assure you that ALL relationships in this book are shown the way they're meant to be - no non-canon shipping. I can also assure you, that since I myself am a devotee of Shri Rama, that you will never have me intentionally writing anything against him, his real nature - the same goes for the others - Sita, Lakshmana, Urmila, Bharata, Mandavi, Shatrughna, Shrutakeerti, Dasharatha, the mothers... All of them will always get their due respect in this book. Secondly, I've followed the Valmiki Ramayana throughout. Some incidents may be revelations, as quite a few things are contrary to popular perception and other versions. Thank you! Fantastic cover designed by @Mochis4lifeq52627 <3

It is created with deep respect for its cultural, spiritual, and historical significance. The intention of this story is purely artistic and imaginative, and not to distort, disrespect, or diminish any tradition, belief, scripture, deity, or historical interpretation associated with the original epic. This story is not written with the intention to hurt, offend, or target any individual, community, religion, or sentiment in any manner. The characters, events, settings, Bollywood style romance and songs and narrative elements in this book have been adapted for fictional storytelling in a contemporary context. Certain themes including dark romance, moral conflict, violence, villainous actions, manipulation, humor, and emotionally intense situations, are portrayed solely as part of the narrative and character development. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, glorification, or support of such behavior in real life. Readers are encouraged to view this story as a work of fiction meant for entertainment and creative exploration. Any resemblance to real persons, interpretations, or events beyond the mythological inspiration is purely coincidental. Above all, this book is written with admiration for the spirit of the Ramayana and with sincere respect toward all cultures, histories, traditions, and beliefs connected to it. A small Saumya style ka note before we begin... Before you turn the page and begin this new journey, I want to pause for just a moment-not to say goodbye to the previous story, but to carry its warmth with us. Every book starts with blank pages, but it is the readers who fill them with life. You laugh with the characters, cry with them, celebrate their victories, and hold them close until they begin to feel like family. That is the greatest gift any writer can receive. (Kindly read further in chapter)

Ramayana It's not just a word but a world of it's own. War, pain, bloodshed, betrayal, wait of years, revenge, ego, dharma, agony and what not. Ramayan is always associated with these things. But ramayan is a bit more than that. It's base is LOVE But love doesn't grow in one day. It's a bud that takes years to bloom. We know about the flowers but not about the buds. Let's peep into the buds of Ramayan. Raghili is a combination of two words. Raghav and Maithili. Raghav are the descendants of raghu (the four princes of ayodhya) Maithili are the princess of Mithila. Raghili is the union of these souls, the budding of immature buds into graceful blooming flowers. Raghili is the journey of love. This is purely a work of fiction and not meant to hurt anyone's religious sentiments. I will take creative liberty. Hope you like my maiden work. 🏆 1st Runner up at The Ramayana Awards 🏆 2nd Runner up at The Self Made Awards 🏆 2nd Runner up at The Debonair Accord 🏆 2nd Runner up at The Jaya Awards 🏆Best Ramayana Plot at The Indian Mythology Awards 🏆2nd Runner Up at The MythoMagical Awards 🏆1st runner up at the Morpankh Awards 2.0
