Catrina Santos Corona also known in the streets as ¨La Muerte¨ is only 15 years old her father is the leader of the most feared gang in Mexico's Streets. After her mother Adriana was murdered, her father Mateo was being attacked by a great wave of depression. While Mateo was no longer acting like the boss of the gang and locked himself in his room, little Catrina had to take the role. But how could ¨La Muerte¨ become the leader without making more enemies than she already had?

Set around the time when Xibalba and La Muerte set the wager. Catalina Mondragon was never like Joaquin. He managed to avoid death on a daily basis, and she can barely defend herself. But, what happens when a certain death god takes advantage of this and trains her? More importantly, why is she happy when he's around? A Xibalba x OC story. Includes songs. La Muerte is the beloved goddess of death and queen of the land of the remembered. Her husband Xibalba is also the god of death and king of the land of the forgotten. When Xibalba offers a wager on a certain day of the dead, La Muerte cant resist and says yes. Will she win or will she end up giving everything she has to her estranged husband?

You live in San Angel, the middle of Mexico, where you have your two best friends there to have adventures with. Manolo and Joaquin are your friends and you always will be, but when you are sent to Spain to become a lady, everything will change. When you return, Manolo is a Bull fighter/musician and Jaoquin is a famous fighter, protects towns from Chakal's bandits. When both try and fight for your love, you are over whelmed by your once friends to your now competeters of love. This is my first fanfiction ever.I love this movie a lot and I've been hyperfixating on it for a while so yeah. The reader is made intentionally for black readers but anyone can read it, the reader will go by they/she pronouns, they are more on the masculine side outfit wise because that's how I am. But anyway onto the summary~! (Y/N) is the sibling in the shadow of the "Jewel" Maria Posada, despite being the older sibling. She had the friends, the beauty even the boys breaking their back for her. But you don't care all that you want is your sister to be okay and live an amazing life, to make sure she ends up with a good man especially. While being in the shadow of your younger sister your eyes have been set on a certain young soldier, an oblivious one at that, but anyway, this is about you not Maria, Manolo, or Joaquin. Since your sister is quite the troublemaker and you are the older sibling you get to suffer the consequences along with your sister. Every story has a beginning, middle and end but like La Muerte said, all the world is full of stories and all of the stories are in the Book of Life. But now Sasha, Sanjay, Jane, Joao and Luka are about to write new stories for the book with help from Manolo, Joaquin, Maria and all their friends, learning valuable life lessons and maybe even share a song or two along the way.
