Manolo X Reader In this book, the reader takes the place of Maria Posada. I grew up of The Book of Life and can quote this movie word for word if I wanted to. I don't really have much to say about it except it will go along with the storyline of the movie. Hope you all enjoy it! Also I did this because there are no X readers for this movie and it makes me sad because this is one of my most favorite movies of all time. This is my first fanfiction ever.I love this movie a lot and I've been hyperfixating on it for a while so yeah. The reader is made intentionally for black readers but anyone can read it, the reader will go by they/she pronouns, they are more on the masculine side outfit wise because that's how I am. But anyway onto the summary~! (Y/N) is the sibling in the shadow of the "Jewel" Maria Posada, despite being the older sibling. She had the friends, the beauty even the boys breaking their back for her. But you don't care all that you want is your sister to be okay and live an amazing life, to make sure she ends up with a good man especially. While being in the shadow of your younger sister your eyes have been set on a certain young soldier, an oblivious one at that, but anyway, this is about you not Maria, Manolo, or Joaquin. Since your sister is quite the troublemaker and you are the older sibling you get to suffer the consequences along with your sister.
