Here we go again.

When a landslide blocks access to the small river-side community of the Old Fort, a boat service is established to transport residents across. For most, it is just a way of getting back and forth to there, but for some, it changes their lives forever.

Lynx, Prairie, Kestral, and Abyss. Four very different girls with very weird names. Each one was at a national disaster. Lynx was in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. Kestral was in South Dakota when the wildfires of 2005 scorched the plains. Prairie was in Alaska when an earthquake shook the land in June, 2005. Abyss was in Wyoming in 2005, when the tornados ravaged the land. In 2005, they were all 6. They were all born in the summer of 1999. Floods and storms follow Lynx, while landslides and earthquakes follow Prairie. Abyss seems to be stalked by tornados and windstorms; fires and volcanic eruptions follow Kestral. What happens when they meet the summer of their 18th birthday?
