Making friends was something Miya was not too good at, even when he is part of this goofy group of people with Reki, Langa, Cherry, Joe and Shadow, who all treated him either like a little brother or a son, Miya still lacked the close conection with someone his age. Ever since his skating popularity grew and he became a promising young star for the skating national team, he had to, unwillingly, step away from those he called friends, just for him to decide he needed no one and everyone was just an slime compared to him. Miya's life had become bleak, except for the moments he went out skating with the group, but everything would change drastically when a new face transfered to his school, a freckled boy from another country who was infuriatingly smart but terribly shy, which was nothing but intriguing and frustrating to Miya, who found a newly discovered fascination to the enygmatic boy that had a book stuck to his nose all the time. Reki, a high schooler, has an art account. It doesn't have his face or his name and he doesn't tell anyone about it. Not being popular makes him constantly worry about being bullied. Which he would be if any one from school found his account and knew he owned it. Because Reki is openly queer online. After walking into a café where Langa the school prince apparently works, it gives Reki a secret of Langa's to keep. After all, school rules are that no student is allowed to even have a part-time job. Their secrets allow them to befriend each other, when neither of them were expecting it. Reki moved to a different class, shutting himself off from the world as Langa kept getting more and more popular, yet never feeling an ounce of happiness unless he saw the redhead in the halls, knowing that he was now unreachable. However, after all this time of separation and longing, college seems to bring new experiences and old friends, as Reki finds out that his roommate is... WHO?! In a prosperous time of peace, there is hardly any role for a knight to play. The king's soldiers are reduced to giving outstanding performances in archery tournaments, gladiatorial shows and other such competitions to entertain the royals and their subjects. Many knights find themselves lacking a sense of purpose or identity; Sir Reki Kyan, on the other hand, having worked hard since childhood to become skilled with a bow and arrow, thrives. He basks in the glorious attention and praise that the perhaps trivial contests provide. Meanwhile, the arts flourish in the tranquility thanks to the newly available money to fund them. Langa Hasegawa is the royals' very own live-in poet. Once a child prodigy in performing as a lyrical bard, he has since moved on to writing poetry under the king and queen's orders, as well as tutoring their young heir. His work has achieved great fame, but he longs to pick up his lyre again and sing freely, by his own command. The two men clash: one born blessed with a gift and the other constantly striving to improve. Reki is welcomed into a world of beautiful language never known to him before, and Langa finds himself a muse that holds the keys to set his verse flying free.
