A book of poems

This compilation of poems and short stories were inspired by Harlem Renaissance artists such as: Langston Hughes, Zora Neale-Hurston, Claude McKay, Lorraine Hansberry, Countee Cullen, W.E.B Du Bois, James Baldwin and countless others. Their influence on and off the page helped shape who I am as an African-American. My work is solely a reflection of multiple aspects of my life and sometimes I will use images that coincide with my subject matter. My poems and short stories "tell it like it is". I'm not trying to throw shade. I'm just speaking my truth.

Excuse me, can I grab your eyes and thoughts? As you gaze upon these poetic prayers of this silent village boy. Understand that his outside is sideways and flipped upside down all in one. Scream loudly if you can, but I guarantee the village boy has screamed louder as a sheep. Boys are made men in a village and sent out to provide, well behold with your eyes the struggle he felt knowing all he could do was wait to provide. So prepare your minds, sharpen your thoughts and come along on his strife to his strive. Based off true stories.

Ya it's awkward that I'm sharing some stories of my textbook but I'm very fascinated by those and can't help it wanna share. (◠‿・)-☆ But you'll going to see something different. In this I'm gonna tell what I felt about it and going to develop some more details that's starting from where the main story ends by the real author. Yes I'm not a great author but I wanna develope my feelings on it by developing some more details. Cause I'm not so satisfied with the ending so for that I wanna make more. Don't know what I can do.
