Extra ticket to Thailand? Check. Questionable new friends? Check. Developing a life-long hatred for coconuts? Earned. When Quinn Brown accepts her brother's extra ticket to visit Thailand, the worst things she expects is jet lag and over-priced, over-crowded tourist traps. Instead, one storm leaves her stranded on an uninhabited island with the last person she expected to survive alongside. Armed with nothing but a travel journal, terrible survival instincts, and enough sarcasm to concern her therapist, Quinn documents every miserable, hilarious, and heartbreaking moment-from failed fish traps and coconut betrayal, to learning that sometimes the person who saves your life changes it too. Some stories begin with finding yourself. This one begins with getting hopelessly lost.

Vaeda Bennett has spent her whole life dreaming about visiting Japan. When she finally books her first trip to Kyoto, she's determined to fulfill a promise that means more to her than anyone knows. She's hoping to take hundreds of photos, see beautiful places, and maybe find a little adventure. What she doesn't expect is to keep crossing paths with the same stranger. Kaito Hoshino doesn't speak any English, and Vaeda doesn't speak Japanese, meaning that communicating with each other doesn't come easily. Translation apps become their lifeline, and the simple gestures between them end up saying more than words ever could. Somewhere between shared adventures, quiet moments, and learning to understand each other one smile at a time, they discover that maybe love has nothing to do with speaking the same language.

Harry walked to his death in the Forbidden Forest, and he didn't get back up. Harry woke up in a different forest than the one he died in, in a whole new world, in fact. Wizards were apparently Istari here, god-like eternal beings sent to police this world by the actual gods. The description of the Istari wasn't too off, but he denied it. He wasn't an Istar, and he couldn't say he was a Wizard, as that and Istari were interchangeable here. What was there for him to call himself, then? A mage? HP / LOTR crossover

Nearly two years since the end of The Battle of the Giants had passed. I was with Will, in my bed of the Hades cabin. We were enjoying each others company. "Do you know any stories?" He whispered brushing hair of my face. "Well, it depends of what story you want." I whispered back looking up, just to see the gorgeous face of my boyfriend. "I want a good one. A beautiful one." He said. "I have beautiful ones. But they don't have a happy ending. I'm warning you." I shot him a look, putting my head on his chest. "I want to hear it anyway." He whispered as he put his hands around my shoulders. "Okay. Here we go." We all absorb a whole lot of pop media. One of them being any, and maybe all, kind of MAG (Manga, Anime, Games for those unaware). What would have happened if someone from our world who has absorbed MAG like a religion almost, gets wound up in a mysterious occurance that transports her into these worlds? For Tara, that answer's simple: 1. Pre-empt every possibility to survive and thrive. 2. Be a kick-ass eminence grice or prick on the side cuz we hate reality anyway. Join Tara's first adventure as she wounds up in the world of Dr. Stone and joins the main gang to add more (or maybe less?) shenanigans to the plot. By the way.... 'Why is the first Dr. Stone?'

The world screams in colors and vibrations, but never in meanings. To Zeroshka, a 'rose' is just a scent and a 'mother' is just a warmth. She hears the wind, she hears the crowd, but the bridge of language has long been broken. In her world, silence isn't the absence of sound-it's the absence of definitions."

She wakes up in the street, confuzzled (and cold from being in her pyjamas) Quickly assessing the situation, she decides to knock on a door for help. And you'll (probably) never guess who she met... ◇--Disclaimers--◇ I do not own MHA/BNHA, all characters used from the manga/anime belong to Horikoshi I do own this fan fiction, please don't steal. Despite it being a Bakugou fan fiction there most likely won't be swearing as I don't swear. Bakugou may say "heck" or "hell", but that will probably be the limit, sorry :3 This story will probably be what's called a "slow burner", however, this is because I am new to writing and things will be dragged out because of that. I don't want to write things to fast either. The story will also not go along with the canon story though there may be some references to canonical events.

After playing for Japan's National Team in the Olympics, Wakatoshi takes a trip to France with friends from Poland. Then he meets an interesting and slightly attractive chocolatier. But, they can't talk to each other due to language barriers. Here goes Loriel and their dumb plots... Fanfiction where they don't speak until the last chapter. This is only five chapters and there could be plot holes! I don't have to energy to build upon this idea so I allow any other writers to do it for me. Credits would be nice but I don't know if my idea is original. Wakatoshi Ushijima x Satori Tendō Characters belong to the creators of Haikyuu, I'm just a dumb writer. If you know the creator of the cover please let me know so I can credit accordingly.

Using different names, this is a non-fiction story about myself, a girl from a small town in Massachusetts, having met a boy from Guangdong, China at a teriyaki and sushi bar at a mall food court. This is the (short) story of how we met, eventually became friends and broke our language barrier (kind of). Forward to 2024, I have visited Leo a few years after this encounter. Shortly after visiting him, Leo posted on wechat that he had a significant other. Life drifting us apart, I have not talked to him in for a few years now, and it seems he has gotten married and had a baby. I am happy for him. He deserves to be happy. But for those who may get the impression... yes, I had a huge crush on him and was too shy to pursue, especially with the language barrier. And I have no idea if it the crush was reciprocated. Perhaps I will write a second chapter about my visiting him. PS: The cover photo is an AI filter of an actual photo of us using BeautyCam.
