Pearl decides to go get something to eat, but when a blue haired worker seems to peek her interests, she wants to spend more time with this girl.

It's not like Lapis meant to lure a bunch of sharks into the Diamond's palace. But the Diamonds weren't exactly prone to listening to the young mermaid. Her tail is split, into what human's called legs, her gills and fins are gone. And she's banished from the one thing she loves: the sea. Adaption to a human's life seems impossible. But when a ballet dancer offers help. Things deemed impossible become much more possible to Lapis; things like love. I give credit to youmie-chan on Tumblr. As this is their au, just making a story for them. Steven Universe doesn't belong to me. Let's hope it stays that way.

What if Pearl knew Lapis was inside the mirror? What if she was the reason her gem broke? Why else would she give it to Steven? Why else would she be so shocked to see Lapis?

The Gem War to fight for Earth's freedom is about to start. The Crystal Gems are getting prepared, ready to fight, however Pearl on the other hand, is panicking, wondering how she can keep Lapis, the neutral gem, safe during the war. (I also posted this on my Ao3 account)
