Lapis, an orphan, finds that she can no longer stand the life she's been living. When she steps out of the orphanage and is greeted by the smell of fresh air,-as fresh as Brooklyn can get, anyway-everything changes for her. Now everything isn't so safe. Peridot has been living on the street for two years. Lapis and Peridot have headed over to the temple to visit the other Crystal Gems, but when they are about to warp back to the barn, a severe thunderstorm struck making it dangerous to walk outside, so they decided to stick around a little while and all just play some good old fashioned video games. All had gone pretty well until someone had brought up something that did not sit right with Lapis. This story is a Lapidot, Pearlmethyst, Conniverse and Rupphire fanfic. Sometimes I feel like writing lapidot and bam. This'll be a book full of one-shots. Updates will vary a lot, so be ready for that. Please note I have no idea how to write romance, since I'm not really used to fanfiction in general. So please tell me if I make a mistake, for example if I get a character's personality wrong.
