Lapis Lazuli is in love. Not the best type of love, but it was, something. She could never leave Jasper. But what if a good friendship with Peridot goes awry?

Peridot could not be more nervous when she went off to college to study robotics, chemistry, biology... "that smart stuff", as her friend Jasper calls it. She's pretty tiny and a clean freak, and she didn't want a roommate, but here she was. Lapis, on the other hand, figures she can just blow through college and pursue the arts. Music, painting... heck, maybe even being a swim coach would work out for her. As she begins to walk up the stairs to her dorm building, she wonders what her roommate would be like. Hopefully not OCD like Pearl, her sister. That was a nightmare.

Peridot is the daughter of a rich CEO, never getting to have the right of being herself. Lapis is a poor college student with nothing but a dream of being a rockstar in the big city. When fate brings the two together at a dinner party, their futures unknowingly intertwine. They are now in their Sophomore year of highschool and both are as close as two friends could ever be. But by now Peridot has had a growing crush towards the beautiful bluenette she knows so much about. And she longs for her best friend to feel the same, but has always been really secretive of the subject, never to bring up her true feelings. But what Peridot doesn't know is that Lapis might be hiding the true feelings she has for the nerd she has grown so very close to over the years, too. I know it's for drawing and I know the prompt list is from 2017 AND for October, but I thought that I'd do a Steven Universe themed oneshot a day for this month. Most of it'll probably be hurt/comfort so look forward to that I guess.
