But not even a week later, the police force is demanding he return. The city is being probed by an elusive serial killer. The most elusive serial killer NYC has ever seen. The NYPD need his help if they're going to put the killer away.... Following her partner's death, FBI Agent Natalie Caldwell has been demoted in rank. Her partner's death Roy Kline was killed in a shootout involving some of america's most notorious drug smugglers. To make matters worse, the drug dealers managed to escape as Natalie cowered in fear, taking tons of narcotics with them. Her boss was infuriated at her failure. He also learned that Natalie and Roy had had a romantic relationship which was strictly forbidden in FBI. Not wanting to fire one of his best agents, he ordered her out-of-state to the NYPD temporarily. Natalie is less than thrilled after learning she will be working the serial killer case with Druw Callahan....who she thinks is a total ass...
