Larp Stories

This is the story of my larp with my best friend. A larp is a live action role play. It's where you go out for a weekend, in the woods or city, and act as a character. There's no script, no lines, you just do whatever you believe you're character would do. It's super fun, and I'm going to record my larping adventure at Lione Rampart here. Hope you enjoy reading it!

Larimore High School is dubbed the Land of the Forsaken by its students. Fey Norris, a latina transfer student from a different state, isn't sure what to call it. Everything seems so confusing, from the five teams that constantly brawl over the top spot in the rankings, to the promise of a 'Big Event' at the end of the year that will test the fabric of reality. Abigail, the Administrator of the top team, seems to be pulling the strings on the game with no mercy or care in the world. Nashita seems to just enjoy the game as it passes, while Arthur is hell-bent on taking the top team down because of old grudges. Fey feels confused by it all, only able to hold onto her friends Leighton, a student that's lived in the town his entire life, Rowdy, a moderator of a team who's family has been a bit on the shaky side of the law, and Rachel, who's pretty features always have Fey windswept. This city in North Dakota is shaken to its very core when the event starts, leaving most of the town trapped outside with no other choice but to wait for the chaos to subside. Five members of five teams clash on the inside, hoping to be the team that gets out with the most members still standing at dawn. Taylor, the only seemingly sane person on the top team, claims everything will be alright. Is Abigail really to blame for the gruesome blood bath that directly results from the event? Who will emerge to the waiting students and police sirens on the outside? Filled with characters that have hidden motives and a bash back to childhood games of pretend that turn sour, The Secret of Larimore High School will keep you reading until the last students breathe out their final words. {Highest Ranking: 473 in Mystery/Thriller. 902 in General Fiction.}

Torie enjoys playing amtgard with her friends, but one person keeps messing with her fun. Maybe he thinks he flirting, maybe he thinks he's helping, but either way he's ruining Torie's day. Can she face him in a tournament and prove once and for all that she is the victor? This story was written for a contest in the game of Amtgard. It's about a common experience of a woman in a LARP/boffer sport, both good and bad.

A between event write up for my Larp character, Seth 9 Freeling. Our guild is the Red & Black. This was set after the first initial contact with an ogre invasion. Ft our giant acid construct, Torment.

Being a spy is hard. Everyone knows that even if the general consensus is that it's all worth it. Most days, I agree. Some days I question the sanity of movie makers. Being a spy means being sneaky. It means being clever. It's risky. Pretending to be someone else, twisting yourself to fit into the box people expect. It's a good thing I'm flexible. The thing most people don't realize is that it gets harder with a partner, not easier. Why? It's simple, really. Having a partner means that you have backup. That's not the problem. The problem is everything else. It's the inside jokes you're just bursting to say and pretending you don't know them when all you want to do is hold on till the world feels a little kinder, a little more like something worth saving. It's knowing that someone will rescue you, but you can't do that because it'll just put more people at risk. It's knowing that it's not just your life on the line. But in the end, a partner is always worth it. Why? Because nothing is sweeter than getting to say, 'I told you so.'

A short fic based on the Twitch live-streamed LARP, Blank Slate, which was created by Ryan Omega. It takes place after the events of season 2 in an alternate universe where everything returned to normal after Prince Maximillian was returned. It's Catervina's birthday and the empire has decided to throw her a huge ball, but she is preoccupied by her memories and can't seem to get any fun out of the party. Will anyone be able to help? Did Catervina make the right choice in coming back to life? Will Gunther be reunited with the green stuff? Will Balthazar loosen up for once? This story isn't meant to be too serious, just a short piece I thought up and worked on during the season hiatus.
