Evan Hansen is one month into recovery after surviving a near-fatal suicide attempt. With the help of his friends and his mother, he is healing. He is learning, however, that healing is not linear. There are high points and low points, and nothing about it is easy. This sequel to "Another World" focuses primarily on Evan's recovery, and the lasting depression and regret that comes after an attempted suicide. Many points that are made will be connected to the first book, and I suggest that you read it first! It is also recommended that you have read, watched, or listened to "Dear Evan Hansen."

Moments of Connor Murphy as a child

Evan Hansen had been getting letters once (sometimes twice) a year from his father. They were always birthday cards and never on his birthday. It isn't like Evan expect his father to remember his birthday, he just sort of hoped one day he would. He may have hated getting the letters he couldn't throw them away no matter how many times he tries. This year, he get's a letter that isn't a birthday card and the next day he learns his father has moved back into state closer then he would like.

Evan Hansen was born with the gift of obedience. Although, if you ask him, it's more of a curse. (Dear Evan Hansen themed story of Ella Enchanted)

Y/n Murphy struggles with mental illnesses she wishes she had control over. On the first day of senior year, she's already high and ready to skip the day and end it all. When her mom doesn't stand down, she reluctantly leaves the Murphy household, her pessimism heavy on her shoulders. During the school day, she encounters Evan Hansen, a boy who got the wrong impression of her. When they talk to each other in the computer lab, it changes Y/n's view completely. Maybe this is her chance to make a friend. Throughout hanging out with Evan, Y/n grows feelings for the shorter boy, and soon she grows reckless, but full of a small amount of hope. She tries desperately not to ruin the relationship she has with him. This could be the start of something new. Something amazing. Now, all her hope is pinned on Evan. Maybe he's the page turner in the long, dull chapters of her life. Maybe he's the light to her darkness.

"If we survive this, I'll give you a life worth living, even if I can't give myself that." Evan Hansen? Anxiety disorder. Never really thinks about how often he has panic attacks but it's just about daily. Connor Murphy? Severe depression and anger issues. Self harms too. Throws things without thinking, aims for people who never did anything. Some call him a murder in the waiting. They're watching eachother kill them self one baby step at a time from their self destructive tendencies, just waiting for it to stop; for them to get help, but that day might never arrive *heavy self harm, abuse, strong language and overall unhealthy relationship indication and description, if you're easily upset this is really not for you.*

She hasn't touched a sketchbook in years. She used to constantly draw in that sketchbook of hers. Offered scholarships to art colleges at age 15. Her whole life was planned out. Until the accident in which her only friend Connor Murphy, and herself ended her plans.
