"Dear Evan Hansen" is a musical and novel about a high school senior who suffers from severe anxiety and, secretly, depression. When classmate Connor Murphy steals a letter Evan writes to himself as an assignment for his therapist and then proceeds to kill himself, his parents mistake it for a suicide note. Evan is now faced with the challenge of keeping his secret private and trying to help the Murphys. In "Another World," Evan's letter is different, failing to mention Connor's sister and Evan's crush, Zoe. Instead of getting mad, Connor recognizes that Evan, like himself, is suffering from depression. Now the story takes a different turn, and an unlikely friendship comes into being.

A Treebros fanfic (yay)! I'll put trigger warnings at the start of a chapter. Also, this might include swearing. When Connor Murphy stops Evan Hansen from jumping out of a tree, everything changes.

After school on the day Evan and Connor have their run-in, Evan happens to help save Connor's life. Their families grow close and now they have to learn to get along, despite Connor's distaste for the anxious boy. They get caught in a lie that winds into a bigger lie of them dating.
