It's the last day in the small town of Shady Brook before senior graduation and Matthew has everything planned. His schedule involves having a quality conversation with his younger sister, spending time with friends, and enjoying one last summer fling before attending college on a full ride scholarship. All that remains for him is to attend the senior party at the house by the lake. Told through the eyes of the women in his life, Matthew's story shows the fall of a young man with great potential as he succumbs to the weakness of bad decisions, peer pressure, and a good time.

In a gripping narrative that blends personal memoir with profound philosophical reflection, " A Symphony of Farewells " takes readers into the harrowing world of an Iranian prison cell in the summer of 1988. Over the course of 12 fateful hours, ten prisoners grapple with the news of their impending execution, scheduled for dawn. This powerful story explores the human psyche in the face of imminent death, drawing parallels between the prisoners' emotional journey. From the initial shock that plunges the cell into metaphorical darkness to a cathartic scream that reignites the spark of life, the narrative pulses with raw emotion and vivid imagery. I masterfully weave together themes of memory, fatherhood, sacrifice, and the resilience of the human spirit. Through the poignant reflections of Hamid, a father separated from his children, and the narrator's own surprising embrace of their fate, the story offers a unique perspective on life's value when viewed through the lens of its impending end. " A Symphony of Farewells " is not just a tale of confinement and despair, but a profound meditation on existence itself. It challenges readers to contemplate the nature of life, death, and the legacies we leave behind, all while bearing witness to humanity's capacity for hope and reflection in even the darkest of circumstances. This compelling narrative promises to move and provoke thought in equal measure, offering a glimpse into a moment where the personal and the universal collide with stunning intensity.

I just go bat-shit crazy about books and occasionally offer anecdotes about life, which, as already established, sucks. Sometimes might upload a poem/snippet of a major story project I'mm working on with two others. Contains explanations for why I haven't updated in literal years

This is set in 2015. I wrote this before The Dark Artifices/The Last Hours/Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy came out, sorry if something is different if you're reading this after they are published. He arrives mysteriously in New York where he is found by the New York Institute Shadowhunters. Except he's been dead for 78 years. (My bios are really bad. Just try the story.) Almost all characters and ideas are Cassandra Clare's. The pictures on the cover are Cassandra Jean's, though the collage was done by me. ~Natalie

Literally the book where I rage about everything to do with shadowhunters while I should be doing other stuff. Includes: - rants - songs - one-shots - screaming - dying over ships - sometimes updates 3 times a day and sometimes not for three weeks - not being able to just say goodbye - and extreme distractions while I'm meant to be doing life

Last Hours is a very short story about suïcide. Its about the Last Hours of someones life and what goes on in their head. "thoughts shot through my head, to fast to react to them, to slow to ignore them"
