Stories for several comps/collabs, amalgamated into one collection. Two of them actually placed in their respective sections (yay!): -Mysterious Ways - 1st place, @PsychologicalNovel's "Wake Up In the Morning" comp (June 2020) -The Listeners - 1st place, Last Summer 2020 collab in the @WarriorGoddess section (July/August 2020) * -'The Flower Hunter'. Loosely based on the folklore of seductive water sprites, particularly the Vila (a Central European version of Rusalka). Written for @AfterDark's "Mirror, Mirror" contest (Mar 2020) -'Mysterious Ways'. A young woman wakes in the wrong version of her bedroom. Or is it so wrong after all? ('You wake in a strange place, possibly as someone else.') -'The Listeners'. Morial and her fellow Spirit Listeners work hard to maintain the balance between nature and mortals; until, one Summer, Morial is accused of upsetting that balance herself. ("I know what you did last summer". The prompt features as paragraph nine in my story.) -'Between the (Spread)Sheets'. An accountant and a trader play cat-and-mouse in a City firm. (@Crime's 'Deceptive Detective' Aug 2020: one criminal goes undercover to expose or be exposed by another.) -'The Unexpected Message'. A missed phone call proves momentous for a young art historian. (@AmbassadorsUK/@Fanatsy/@WattpadFairytales's 'Underground Tales' contest Nov 2020: pick a Tube station - King's Cross/Angel/Seven Sisters/Knightsbridge - and imagine what lies below which is connected with the name. I chose Angel.) The only real thing in this story is the Museum of London (which has an excellent Roman gallery, btw); any coincidence with real heritage experts - or indeed the unrealistic probability of such a find - is my fault. -'Cyclopean Arches'. In the year 3542, an advance exploration party finds some interesting ruins. (Nov 2020. 'Underground Tales' (again): King's Cross.)

Sebastian never expected when he took over his mother's old workshop in Portia that things would turn out so well. As he tells his best friend back in Portia - he's doing well. That is until the messages start arriving, bringing up the event from last summer which resulted in him moving to Portia in the first place. Disclaimer - I don't own Stardew Valley or My Time in Portia. Warning: This story contains mentions of rape/non-con elements which happened in the characters past. This was written for one of the prompts for Last Summer Conest Collab over on Wattpad. I'm going to try to write at least one story per prompt before August 15th for the fun of it. This one is written for WattpadAfterDark's prompt and needed to be 2k or less. "The messages began arriving 3 weeks ago. They arrived in various forms; email, snail mail, slipped under your bedroom door, etc. Not a day has been skipped and you now have 21 messages repeating, "I know what you did last summer." Life is finally good. Your relationship is stable, you're healthy and feeling safe for the first time in a year. Tell us in 2K words or less what happened last summer, who is sending these messages and how the story resolves itself." I know a few people will feel this is out of character for Abigail due to the fact many interpret Sebastian as having feelings for her,. However, given how uncomfortable Sebastian is in social settings including dealing with strangers, one can also interpret him as not reciprocating her feelings if not her outright stalking him, but her stalking can be interpreted as shifting to the farmer.

Everything was going well with the boxing champion Mark until one day his opponent whispered in his ears,"I know what you did last summer!",to provoke him while they were having a battle on the ring.Mark was taken down by the opponent within less than a minute after he heard that.Why did those few words bother him so much that he was actually beaten by a mere rookie?Let's find out as we read through the story!

I look at the crowded city centre, perched atop a spire, in search of my targets. To the human eye, I am just a wind vane in the form of a cupid, swaying ever so lightly in the wind. I spot him and immediately shoot my arrow, which sails smoothly down to pierce him directly in the heart. I rotate to the side and mark my second target. I am falling behind on my monthly quota and time is running short. It's now or never, and so I release the last arrow. What happens next is something terrible. Something that is not fate, but pure mistake. Will Cupid be punished or let go?

This was written for the Last Summer Collab. Specifically, this one was written for the <b>Pyschological Novel</b> prompt which needed to be 5k or less.

In a spur of the moment, they decide to go road tripping for the summer, but in a twisted fate end up hitting a pedestrian with their car. How will this ill event affect their summer? One thing is for certain, this is the summer to remember.

Matsuri idolizes Gaara, yet she doesn't see past the perfect idolization she sees of him. Disclaimer - I don't own Naruto. This was written for one of the prompts for Last Summer Conest Collab over on Wattpad. This is one of the stories I didn't finish by August 15th. This one is written for WattpadBroadway's prompt and needed to be 1.5-3k. I held off on this one because when I think theater I often think of Naruto and Ayatsuri Sakon, but when I tried finding a play which featured an Asian main character specifically I remembered that while I love Broadway productions Broadway doesn't have very many works which feature a minority main, particularly an Asian - so I rebelled and went with banraku which is a form of puppet theater from Japan. "Last Summer you were chasing your dream to go see your favorite Broadway Musical live for the first time--it was more than what you could have imagined it would be. Especially now that a letter has arrived at your hime with your name on it. Who sent it? No other but the lead of that Broadway show."
