Taking place during the Gilded Age in NYC, a poor teenage shoe shiner finds himself in a new pool of opportunities after befriending the son of a wealthy factory owner. But as he rises the ranks of status, Rocky begins to uncover the political and economical corruption of the age and is challenged with the morality of others, and more so, the morality of himself. Walter is just an average middle-class American in the 1870s. This all changes when he is instituted into Robertson State Penitentiary, on the account of wild mood swings and anxiety problems? (This story is based off of the asylums in the late 1800s, before many of the revolutionary changes in penitentiary and asylums occurred. This story is entirely fictional and is not meant to represent a specific persons life, or a specific place. It is merely my speculation and idea of what it would be like in one. This is also one of my first stories I've ever posted, so criticism is much appreciated! Although keep the criticism respectful, and constructive.)

He was a boy full of joy and love, But destiny is playful and harsh, it hurt him. Rusty ran off and ended up on a cabin near a shore far from his home, he met a girl he bond with, but everything has it's end, he had to go home. And he promised to return. Tragic events swallowed young rusty, kept him from fulfilling his promise. Eventually he managed to come back,just to see the girl different from what he remembered. EVERYTHING HAD CHANGED.
