Maya has a habit of being late. Late to class, late out the door, and-according to her teachers-late to grow up. But she doesn't mind. With her sketchbook in hand and a pencil always tucked behind her ear, Maya has her own way of seeing the world. She draws what she feels, what she dreams... and sometimes, things that don't make any sense at all. As her fifteenth birthday creeps closer, odd things begin to happen. Her drawings shift when she's not looking. The wind feels different when she sketches. And one night, something she draws begins to glow. At first, Maya thinks she's just tired. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's just her imagination running wild again. But deep down, something tells her this is different. Something real is waiting-and her sketchbook might be the key to finding it. What starts as another ordinary day quickly turns into the beginning of something magical, mysterious, and a little bit unbelievable. Maya's about to discover that the worlds we create aren't always just in our heads... and that sometimes, the smallest pencil stroke can lead to the biggest adventure.
