BOOK 1 IN THE "NOMINAL HERO" SERIES Cataleia Nodal is recruited by a strange man from Quiztal, her mother's home country. He gives her secret information which reveals several well-hidden incursions between the island of Alcan and Quiztal---incursions that could break out into a full-scale war. As Cataleia gradually becomes of age, she finds herself drafted into the conflict, partaking in a few small missions. Despite her hesitancy to fight for a country she has limited ties to, she quickly learns the basics of being a functional field agent. However, when her first mission ends in absolute failure, she undergoes a downward spiral for her failure, and for the fact that the conflict between Quiztal and Alcan may be more complex than she realizes.

Isabella Cruz, a Puerto Rican young girl, meets her two best friends after she immigrated to the U.S. from Puerto Rico. One day she meets Steve and Bucky on her first day of school, and let's say her life will change drastically. She doesn't know what will come out of being friends with these two, but let's say it something unexpected. Literally these are not my characters except the OC. Pllllsss don't sue me. I'm not expecting too much hype from this book, its just a little side-project. Some details may be a little different from the mcu in little aspects, but it is my intention to follow the comics and stay true to the timeline.

Constancia Villanueva has always been a free spirit. Born into the infamous Villanueva family, she's had a role to uphold since she was born. Each year, the isolated ghost town of Dryden, Texas hosts the annual Día de los Muertos festival. After the dust clears and a young vendor named LRay stays behind, a powerful friendship ensues between him and a free-spirited teenager named Benet. These days, Benet spends her time working alongside her older friends and living the ultimate bohemian lifestyle. When she befriends the quiet, thoughtful LRay, the owner of a food trailer in town for the festival, they instantly click even though she knows very little about him. Meanwhile, LRay contemplates a life on the run, and the proximity of the Mexican border just a few miles away lures him each day he spends in Dryden. They smoke, dance, swim, and sleep each day away, unbothered by any apprehensions. When LRay finally confesses that he must soon face trial for the rape of a 14-year-old girl, a crime he didn't commit, Benet is forced to think outside of herself and her safe surroundings. Will LRay choose to live as a free man, always looking behind his back? Or will he find the courage to face a harsh judicial system in a small, racist Texas town that's notorious for the unusually harsh sentencing of black youths?

At first sight they were polar opposites, but give them a closer look and they were more alike than they would like to admit. Minerva was a mess, it seemed like chaos followed her everywhere she went. She tried to be organized, especially after she moved out for college, but of course things could never go her way. She loved art, she especially loved drawing people, so she finally decided to enroll in life drawing sessions that went on every saturday. Enki was a busy person, and he was widely known to be very organized, and sometimes a little uptight. His passion was ballet, it had always been, but the fee was rather large, and he was tired of depending of his parents, so he swallowed his embarrassment and accepted the job he had been offered as a model for drawing sessions. Sitting in the middle of a room half naked wouldn't be too hard, and the pay was not so bad, what could go wrong anyway?
