Today, Laura turns 29. The old promise gets remembered. A new promise gets made with one year to be filled.

Hollstein - 2.5k words. Picks up from S2:EP15 because we all know that there is just so much angst and emotion to be anticipated. I couldn't deal, so I of course had to write a fic about it. This strays from canon because when written, we've yet to know what's going to happen, this is just my take one one possibility. (Written whilst listening to HBHBHB.)

Carmilla AU where Laura, Carmilla, Perry, and LaFontaine all share an apartment. Carmilla claims that she is "old fashioned" and goes out of her way to show Laura how much she loves her. The story follows them from the build up to their wedding to the honey moon.

"I walk to the center of the field where the old wooden ball box is. There are a few people spread throughout the stands, and I meet Carmillas eye. She's sitting cross legged in the stands reading from her book like always. Uniform messy, with the sleeves rolled up and green tie hanging loosely. Suddenly her eyes dart back down to her book and she feigns uninterest. I roll my eyes, whatever, just ignore her. "Alright! Positions everyone!" Carmilla and Laura have been married for 17 years and have two kids Dylan and Grayson. everything has been perfect in their lives until they see someone staring at them outside through their window and things are not that perfect as it seems. Carmilla left and is staying with Mattie while Laura is alone in the Dean's old house. I wanted to keep this short and sweet so it may not be the greatest story

Laura Hollis goes in for an interview for the job of her dreams. She is sure that life is over until she runs into Carmilla, starting a sequence of events that will change both their lives forever. Love may be waiting down the hall, but you have to be brave enough to open the door.
