**Discontinued** Alexander Hamilton is a new student in Princeton College, and is going into junior (third) year. He is from the Caribbean, and is new in the US. John Laurens is struggling with his past and current issues, and is drowning. He is almost to the edge when Alexander helps John, while trying to suppress his own issues. They need each other, but they don't know it. (This is my first published fic, so feel free to give me any advice or what I should change/add in. There will also be more ships than Lams; like Mullayette and Jeffmads).

It is the year 2016, and Alexander Hamilton is in his freshman year of college when he goes to a bar and meets his future friends, Aaron Burr, Hercules Mulligan, Marquis de Lafayette, and finally, John Laurens. John Laurens is a go getter, finally thrilled he got into the college of his dreams. He is with his dear friends when he walked into the room. This is a very old book and is really bad. I suggest you don't read this until I redo it.

[John will be a bit feminine in this js] I have NO idea what im doing in all honesty. I don't have much experience writing, I just decided to randomly write about a pastel! John and punk! Alexander au thingy at like midnight and yeah. If people actually like it (probably won't), then I'll try and write more frequently i guess.... To John, Alex comes off as your typical bad boy kid who doesn't give a f*ck about what people think or say. He has this grungy punk type style that scares yet entices John. Alex is very interesting to him, the way he comes off so confident and like he doesn't have a care in the world peaks John's curiosity. Sadly, a guy like Alex would never be interested in a weird guy like John, especially if he found out how messed up and broken John is. To Alexander, John comes off as that quiet shy kid who loves to dress with that soft feminine aesthetic you'd see on Tumblr. Alex thinks he's absolutely mesmerizing and really wants to get to know him, but feels like John wouldn't like him once that happened. He always catches John looking at him, has for years now, but thinks he won't like the real him. Alex feels like no one will want him around when they find out how he really is.

But this is not how the story started, no, it started with Alex being saved from the evil Roslind and being recuted to join General Washington's elemental training. His roommate, Marquise De Laffayette, took him under his wing. Eventually Alex told Laf and his friends Hercules Mulligan and John Laurens the secrets he kept burried. But when false friends and conieving family members it could only last so long, even if Alex and John did fall in love. Maybe, though, maybe they can have a happily ever after afterall. The only catch: They first have to fight a war against all their demons and come out on top. It will be no easy feat, but maybe love pervails for real sometimes anyway. So this is a rewrite of my most popular story, "an irreplaceable love". I wanted to do a rewrite because I just don't really like the original al that much and I feel like there is so much I could've done better in terms of keeping the story line on the straight and true and making sure everything in general stays on track. So, This story is actually going to change quite a bit, while still keeping the original as a baseline for it. Some of the things that will be changing is Alex and Eliza's relationship. I just view Eliza as a genuinely sweet person and it's hard to write her as such a cruel person. Also, I know some people like her but I will not be including Aspen, sorry. Also, John's deadname will be changing (not that is really matters cause its not his real name anyway) to Jacquelyn. Also, this story will hopefully be much better because I feel like I am a much better writer then when I wrote the original story and I feel like I know better what I am writing about now then I did before. Now for the actual story description. Jacquelyn Laurens and Alexander Hamilton are best friends. They have been since kindergarden. However, when they are at the age of 10, Alexander and his mother have to move back to where he was born, a small Island in the Caribbean called Nevis. During their goodbyes, Jack just wants to tell Alex one thing. One thing that's extremely important. But she is scared that her best friend will turn his back on her. The important thing is that Jacqulyn is not his name and that he is actually a boy named John Laurens.
