(Complete) A simple Fanfiction about the game, Dragon Age: Inquisition. A little thing that takes place, post game, with Ellana, (My Inquisitor) romancing Cullen.

Kayla never felt at home anywhere, even among her loving dalish clan. Her keeper sends her to investigate the Conclave. A gathering of mages and templars in a last test for peace. Kayla is thrown into the mess when the Temple of Sacred Ashes explodes, killing everyone inside but her. A young elven girl, the age of nineteen spends her days with her dalish clan in the Dales, walking the fade as she slept. She was special and very...odd as a child. she would never respond to her given name of Gihlana, only to Da'len. she had developed the gift of magic at the age of five, and an odd fascination with the spirit realm to boot. Her elders always seemed to encourage her it this way, magic of course- and in her countless days of running the forests and hunting, surviving, she had become quite talented at the craft. when she dreamed, she felt free. she perfered the presence of spirits instead of people, even though she loved her clan. At the age of twenty three, her keeper sends her to the conclave where peace talks between the mages and Templars were occurring, to listen in on the negotiations. when the conclave explodes she was caught by Corpheus, though she barely remembers what happened to her. she falls out of the fade onto a journey more wild and heart wrenching than anything she could have ever conjured up in the fade.

When I was a little girl I had always dreamt of glass cities shimmering gold in the sunlight and magic so thick in the air you could feel the hum vibrating in your skin. A day when ancient elves could once again reign free in their golden cities with their heads held high in all of their glory. Everyone in my clan thought I was a naive idealist. Whenever my Keeper, Deshanna, would bring us closer to one of the ancient ruins, I would sneak away for hours and just wander around the place imagining what it was like a thousand years ago. Where the structure of the building didn't hold together over the passing of time, I would use my imagination to picture what the room could be. I would envision that the high walls transformed themselves into the entrance to a grand ballroom. People from all over the world would come to this place to dance throughout the night. Everyone would be dripping in the most lavish gowns and as music filled the halls playing lightly over the voices of people mingling. I would dance along with them in the ballroom until I would be collected for dinner. I become so enthralled with the idea of the ancient people, I didn't tell anyone when I finally found one.
