The Inquisition had dealt with Corypheus, leaving the inquisitor plenty of time to overthink. He would need to finally deal with his past struggles and seek help, or he would drown in his own mind.

In this alternate ending Solas takes Lavellan with him, and he takes her anchor from her in a more intimate way. This is a alternate ending to Dragon Age Inquisition Trespasser DLC. (SPOILER ALERT) I am in no way discounting or claiming my story is better than others, or the original, it is simply my idea. I hope you enjoy the story! It has been three months since the Veilguard fell. Three months since the rest of the Evanuris - long supposed to be dead - emerged from the Veil. Three months since Solas abandoned her. Three months that Rook has been at the mercy of vengeful, insane gods. The plan to save her, like many of the plans Solas has, is decidedly terrible. But she is at the mercy of that, too.

With her arm gone and her heart broken Evangeline Lavellan still hopes Solas will return to her one day.
