My one and only attempt at fiction. And for some ungodly reason I am still in it. I am going to have to get over that. It's about me about 30 years later meeting up with an old friend and the state of police relations. I think I wrote it about 5 years ago but it's pretty timely with what is going on now out there. Let me know what you think.

A juvenile detention officer, Carter Brooks, age twenty-six, working at the juvenile detention center in New York City, is a full time law enforcement officer working to make sure juvenile offenders in detention institutions are safe, secure, and healthy. While preserving a safe atmosphere, they keep an eye on everyday operations, police regulations, and support rehabilitation initiatives. In addition, they are essential in recording incidents, keeping records, and searching, processing, and transporting detainees. But just a week after Thanksgiving, at the end of November, things at the juvenile detention center become a nightmare for Carter and other juvenile detention officers that juvenile offenders are constantly being killed with no explanation. Carter thinks someone has killed these juvenile offenders, but no evidence shows how these offenders were killed and no suspect involved in the murders. Carter decides to investigate and wonder why these many juvenile offenders are being killed. But as Carter investigates the deaths of the young juvenile offenders, he comes to a conclusion of a former juvenile detention officer from 2005 was experiencing a paranormal incident at the detention center he used to work at in Chicago, had killed his juvenile offenders due to a shocking incident. Now Carter must find a way to stop the Lazarus demon from killing more juvenile offenders, but what is the real culprit behind the story of the demon.
