Curiosity killed the cat they said. For someone like Mizuka, that truly may end up being the reason she dies. Curiosity was truly her poison of choice. Known to many as a voice with no face named Minima, Mizuka is both a podcaster and a hacker. Her most recent obsessional topic to speak out on was the serial killer Kira. Having the ability to find out certain personal information on the case has helped her stay alive, however, it doesn't keep her secret from the infamous L. When she is contacted on her podcast email Mizuka, though worried of her identity being found out, can't help, but let her curiosity run away with her. The obsession she's found with this Kira case is to great to give up on no matter the chance of death. So will her sweet curiosity bring her the biggest story of either of her careers, or will it in the end be the death of this truly curious cat? (This will not follow the show or Manga in many parts. I will use certain parts, but for the most part due to placing an OC into this story it will not follow the original plot)

Seeing the world's greatest detective die in such an anti-climatic way could displease some of the cruelest gods and goddesses. So it should come as no surprise that Emma, a seemingly ordinary woman on the outside, decides to take matters into her own hands and save L from his cruel fate. But he wakes up in Los Angeles, after a very bumpy ride, and unable to return to the Kira investigation or life as he knew it. To top it off, Emma has a purpose of her own to fulfill, for which she needs the detective's help... whether he wants to offer it or not. On the outside - a tale of two weird kids that seem to finally to get a shot at a normal life. At its core, however - a study of what makes a human humane, and what it takes to piece oneself together after being pulled apart by people, circumstance and a lot of bad luck.
