The first day of high school is arguably the best day of your life. But in a school full of superheroes floating in the sky each day can easily be the best-or the worst. Layla Williams is a freshman at Sky High with a solid plan ahead of her, to become one of the greatest heroes to grace its campus and to admit her love to her best friend, Will Stronghold. But when things go awry Layla is thrown into an unlikely pairing. As she navigates the chaotic halls of her new school and the firey nature of new partner Layla must fight to help her best friend defeat the evil trying to destroy the world as they know it.

Madeline(aka Maddie) is the daughter of the Commander and Jetstream, two famous superheroes. Her brother Will, neighbor Layla, and herself are starting high school. However, this high school isn't just an ordinary high school, its a floating high school for heroes in training.

Warren Peace is someone Dorian Talbot should, by all means stay away from. Considering his mom helped Will's father put his dad away. But. Of course circumstance will change everything. She and her brother just started their first year at highschool, where Emily quickly learns she has a worst enemy she's never met. Warren Peace, who's father was imprisoned by her own father. But, after becoming partners in their class, Warren quickly begins to feel strange feelings towards the Cryokinetic he swore to hate. Has he simply lost his hate for her, or is it something more?

Katharine(Kitty) Williams is the cousin of Layla Williams. Unlike Layla, her power isn't dainty. Kitty's power is dangerous. Both of Kitty's parents were killed in a fight against the Strongholds. She does her best to stay away from the family she despises. Instead of living with her cousin, she lives with her soulmate, Warren Peace, and his mom.
