It feels like many years since the dawn of war, but really, it was only five. Young soldiers soon became seasoned warriors. Old recruits became reused leaders. Two sides led by two leaders. The Decepticon warlord, Megatron and the Prime, Optimus. It's funny what war can do to your mind and how it can change your morals. Moving into the sixth year, will this war continue? Or will it end with everyone coming home? (No, this is not a fanfic of TFP, TFA, G1, etc. This is a whole new fanfic.)

Starting with singular events and further escalating, Soundwave slowly slides down the cliff of treachery and eventually defects from the Decepticons. Title from Machine by Imagine Dragons. A young woman by the name of Cassie has a usual life. She has to look after her 14 year old sister because her mum and dad were killed in a car crash. She has a job as a programmer but she isn't as good as her workmates. She doesn't get much money so it's hard for her to say food for her family. She's despite for help. She needs someone to help her look after her family and help her with her job. But no one will come. She tried online dating but that always turns out bad so she stopped. One day when she is at work she feels sick so she goes home and there is a suprise wating for her there that may just save her.

Soundwave needs a distraction from the frustrating and dull day to day. An unexpected new pet might be the solution to more than one issue.// Slowburn. I am planning on romance in later chapters but don't expect it for a while. Slow as fuck in uploads cause its me. This is how I am. I'm awful.

Okay, I got inspiration for this story from another over on Ao3, it's called "Orphans" by PAW_07. Also, half the characters probably should have died, but I'm going to be optimistic with this story. This follows the journey of Ravage and her cohort after Soundwave is killed by Megatron. They need a new host to survive or risk death. The only other host on Cybertron is Blaster, but he has a full cohort already. So death seems like the only option... or is it? (cover art by Arc Caster)

Soundwave, the Decepticons Communications Officer and Surveillance Lieutenant, has recently had an accident in one of the Energon Mines. It wouldn't have been an issue for him if it didn't trigger something he hasn't felt in years. He erased his emotional programs to properly process information faster but, due to this accident, those programs have returned. He was unaware of it at first until he started to notice that these emotions were affecting his work. He hadn't felt them for so long so it was really affecting him.
