When Ellie's (in)famous grandmother passes away, she is unprepared for what the lawyers tell her is the dying wish of the great Geneva Laurant- win a ballroom dance competition and until you do, no estate money. Needing that money to continue paying for college, she enrolls in dance lessons, hoping by some miracle to get rid of her two left feet before next semester. It's there that she meets Brett, with the voice of an angel and the humor of the devil. After the instructor pairs them up due to their "natural chemistry", it's one misstep after another- leading up to Brett's big secret.
