Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the ecosystem present inside of a leaf. Despite their size, leaves provide habitats for a multitude of microorganisms. This review explores the components that make up this ecosystem. Leaf ecosystems are dynamic and quick to change. Usually, they last only one day. This is due to the daily cycles in temperature, radiation, relative humidity, wind velocity, and leaf wetness that the leaf goes through on a daily basis. Longer-term changes occur with weather systems. The physical characteristics of leaves change according to their expansion, maturity, and age.
