This will be a collection of articles on life lessons I learned during my self-improvement and healing journey. ** Disclaimer: while I doubt anyone will notice, these stories were taken from my blog on Medium. One chance encounter. A slow blending of two lives. What starts out as a straightforward happenstance becomes something neither of them can avoid when their paths unexpectedly collide. They find themselves drawn closer and closer, as if the cosmos is constantly drawing them back to one another, between sly looks, and moments that feel too personal to be fleeting. However, as they become closer, it becomes more difficult to distinguish between friendship and something far riskier. Perhaps their meeting was meant to be. Perhaps they were destined to permanently alter one another. Perhaps some stories are only intended to exist in the interim between "almost" and "always."

This is an individual version of this story, it is part of my short story series "A Series of Emotions". This is a retelling of my own experience and as a way to reach others who need a space to feel welcomed in this world. To know you're not alone. An au where during a recom mission with the RDA avatars, Jake gets separated from Grace, Norm and Trudy, they presume he's dead when they cannot find his Avatar body and his human body never wakes up, after weeks of trying, his human body eventually dies. They never would have expected Jake to float out so far that he'd be found by the soon to be Tsahìk of the Metkayina clan. Ronal taught him the way of the Metkayina, looking past his 5 fingers and and Forest Na'vi build, teaching him the way of the Tsahìk while her courter, Tonowari doesn't see past this so easily. Jake doesn't get to take part in the battle against the RDA due to the distance from the Hallelujah mountains and their islands so Jake never met Neytiri, never became Toruk Makto or Olo'eyktan when Tsu'tey dies. With no other heir, Neytiri becomes the Olo'eyktan and Grace the Tsahìk's apprentice. It's only when these years later, Neytiri visits the Metkayina to discuss topics with Tonowari when she meets Jake and Grace realises he's very much alive and in fact thriving with the Metkayina.
