They never had something they could fully call theirs, only moments that felt close enough to believe in. It was in the almost: almost staying, almost choosing, almost loving without hesitation. They learned how to live in between-between words that were never said and promises that were never made. And somehow, that was the hardest part because nothing was ever clear enough to fight for, but never empty enough to let go.

After the death of her beloved father, 16 year old Alexis Rivera is sent to England to get over her sadness and turn into the sassy, sarcastic girl everyone knew, but didn't exactly love. Once in England, the place where her brother Matt lives and her father died, Alexis meets the scorchingly hot Daniel, who coaxes her back to her normal self with his teasing character and mysterious dark side. While struggling to reign in her growing feelings for Daniel, Alexis, begins to discover things about the town that aren't quite right; the mysterious hot boys (Daniel included), the terrified townsfolk, a collection of old dusty books she found miles away from her new home but that all seem to link to her... and with the fact that she's slowly falling in love with Daniel and his mysterious dark edge, Alexis is in for a lot of trouble.

After finding out she was pregnant 18 year old Jazzalyn left home from Saint Louis, Missouri to Indiana, Indianapolis with her boyfriend Christopher. Three years later, Jazzy comes back St. Louis to attend the funeral of her best friend's mother. At the funeral she ran into her sister, who convinces her to reconnect with her family. Okay, I tried with the summary but, I don't know, I think it's horrible. 😭🤷🏾‍♀️ Writing this story cause I'm bored in quarantine. Don't really know where I'm going with this, so I'm writing whatever comes to mind, I guess.
