"Fly Free My Little Canary!"/"Fly Free My Pretty Canary!" Macy is a confident, self-assured, and outspoken young woman. For 18 years, she has lived with her strict and overly protective religious parents. As she enters college, she is finding a new sense of freedom, new love, new peers, and new desires. Her child's father is one of the most famous rappers of their generation. Although he has given her a huge sum of money, she still is independent and focused on creating her own path in life by trying to become a lawyer while modeling on the side. Along her path, Macy is laced with a drug while smoking weed at the biggest annual rap bash of the year. This puts her in a coma for several months leaving her unresponsive and her child motherless. Her family sets out to find who did this to her.

When a young Abby Wilcox move down South to Summertown, Louisiana. Where she meets a rough and tough country boy Luke Maitland, when applying for a job at an animal rescue zoo. When she gets the job she learns some things about the zoo and Luke are fishy.
