a short story inspired by the song "She's In The Rain" by The Rose.

It is extremely rare that a child is born with a birth mark shaped like a rose. Having one of these marks is frowned upon in society, resulting in most of these children being abandoned by their parents at birth and sent to orphanages. The children with the birth mark had a daemon, an animal familiar directly connected to their soul, with whom they could never be separated. There are five colours of the rose, indicating the strength of their daemons. The weakest is the pink rose, followed by the blue rose, red rose, white rose and finally the black rose, the most feared. A group of individuals launched an attack on the government, causing the government to panic and search all orphanages for anyone with a rose tattoo and capture them. A band of misfits running for their lives... will they ever make it?
