But fate has a way of tying lives together in the smallest moments-an accidental glance, the rustle of moving boxes, the brief flicker of recognition in unfamiliar eyes. He lives across from her. They pass each other in the halls, exchange fleeting nods in the elevator, and pretend they don't notice each other's presence.
