By the end of the semester, Maisey needs to work these things out, but will she be able to do it without ruining everything first? Probably not. This particular individual was the captain of my brother's high school in the late 1950s during which years it was common practice to segregate adolescent boys from girls during their secondary grades in N.S.W., Australia.
