There is so very much to Legea. This is a book for all the extras that belong nowhere: music, maps, poems, random lore, fun facts, the very first draft of "The Journey"... written four years ago by a thirteen-year-old in a ring-bound notebook with a snake on the cover...

Yeah... that's pretty much what this is. I know, I know, you want to read it. They all do. Go ahead, just don't say I didn't warn you.

Because I'm the worst at coming up with inventive titles... New random book. Mostly the same stuff. I'm a hectically busy girl adjusting to the perks of adulthood (buying your own personal block of cheese at the store, amirite?) and enthusing over the fact that I'm going to be a published author next year (I still can't believe it!). Pianist, farm hand, Sunday School teacher, pastor's kid, oldest sibling. Peek inside for tags, blog-ish things, the occasional fangirl rant or life update, and a lot of obsessing over my fantasy world. * December 2022 changed cover in the hopes that random creep accounts will stop adding it to their reading lists*

Mordred Kenhelm's survivalist existence has acquired a measure of stability-even peace. He is ready to put down roots... until warnings from the past start rearing ugly heads, that is. He sets out to extinguish old ghosts, but a simple trip downriver threatens to unearth far more than it conceals. Alone with his secrets, he faces a trial of conflict, honor, and humiliation. Inspector Wilhelm Dickson has never given up on a mission. A zealous search for truth and reparation leads him into a net of affairs much bigger than himself, and one he might not escape with both life and reputation intact. After all, it helps to at least know what you're chasing. Worst of all, the arrogant young man who happens to be the key to everything is more closemouthed than a clam at low tide. Truth will out. But even then, it may be a long while before anyone sees the end of the road.
