LEGENDBORN, Nick POV! A lil oneshot between Nick and Bree on Valentine's Day in a world where Camlann is over or didn't happen in the first place or SOMETHING. I just want these precious characters to have a little bit of joy and normalcy like they deserve. I'm usually a BreeSelNick kinda person, but the spirit moved me to write for BreeNick specifically. This is my take of the sequel to Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. I'm trying to write this like a whole book, so the first few chapters might not be particularly interesting but they are important. A new main character is introduced. It's a girl named Emma Cecila who has been brought to the lodge to help in the search for Nicholas. Emma is extremely proficient in her work, and finds Nicholas's location quickly, however during the search and rescue some very strange and even disturbing things are revealed about Emma. Eventually, Bree must choose between what the Regents want her to do, eliminate Emma, or what everyone who knows her wants Bree to do, listen to Emma's story and then decide if she is really at fault. Sel gets thrown into a tight situation as the Regents have ordered him to kill Emma after he grows close to her. What will happen? Will these people choose family and love, or will they choose to follow orders?
