Just a note to say that if you've seen another legolas romance called 'The Merging of Destinies' don't worry I'm not copying it's actually mine but on an account (@icegirl03) which I've forgotten the password too so the full story is this one! . . This is the first in a series of books and is set during the Hobbit. Some parts will differ from the films and additional history will be added. . . Gandalf persuades Val to accompany him, thirteen dwarves and a burglar on their quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain. However, it doesn't take long for evil forces to catch up with them and with Val ready to sacrifice anyone in the company to ensure her own survival, it seems as though it's not going to be as easy as they thought.

After winning the war, Legolas is drifting. Gimli's friendship is strained by secrets Legolas can't tell him, Tauriel runs away in fear of following in his mother's footsteps, and his own people are not at ease around him. More than he ever has before, Legolas wishes he could have been born anyone but a prince, but no one chooses their place in life, and his comes with relentless responsibilities. How can he lead people among whom he does not feel at home? *Not a Tauriel romance. **This story contains spoilers to But One Star of All. ***Readers of ABP and PPM will notice that there is conflicting information about Mabyn between these three stories. Along with the Fellowship, there lies one other whom Lady Galadriel insisted upon contacting for her to meet Lord Elrond in Rivendell to attend the Council. One of The Thirteen that roam Middle Earth to assist those in need. Like Elves, The Thirteen are immortal and wise, yet powerful in their ability to draw their magic from the earth. They are both healers and warriors, men and women, who desire nothing but peace. But of course, one hears of a Witch, they believe they are evil and vile. This is not so. The Lord of the Rings characters, stories, and images used do not belong to me. The only thing that is of my own creation is The Thirteen and their stories within the LOTR universe.

Despite the breaking of the Fellowship, Lessien's story continues on with her remaining companions. When the group encounters Gandalf again, it appears that her role in the oncoming war is much more important than she ever imagined. As she figures out who she is to be to the good forces of Men, Lessien and the rest of her group travel to Edoras where they aid King Theoden against the threats that Rohan faces. But as more and more is revealed of what Lessien is to do to save Middle Earth, she finally sees all that she has to lose. The cost of being a hero is high. The question rises, what is she willing to let go in order to win this war?
