The bloody siege of Vraks has entered it's seventeenth year. The Death Korps count more than ten million dead among their ranks, and still, they continue to feed bodies to the meat grinder. As the war draws to a close, the inexperienced forces of the Carthaggan Guard's Fifth Army Group make planetfall, and join the fray, hoping to earn a place in the hymnals that will one day be written about this holiest of crusades. On a routine patrol, Matilda, a Leman Russ tank, carrying a sacred and powerful Vanquisher cannon has gone missing. The Benediction, a second Leman Russ, piloted by Captain Kunnar and his crew of seasoned veterans take on a new member, the inexperienced young soldier Soloman, and are tasked to find and recover the lost relic before the forces of Chaos can claim it.

Now her me out. This is a Alternate Universe for Warhammer 40k so expect things to not line up with the lore. I will be making up this entire AU on the fly in these chapters as they come out revealing more and more as the story goes on. I'm not doing a description since the original one didn't fit the story I'm doing for this. Just read the prologue for a description it's the best you're going to get
