Leider startet ihr neues Schuljahr noch chaotischer als das letzte, und auch im Rest des Halbjahres bleibt ihr die Ruhe verwehrt: zwischen Schulalltag und Austauschschülern muss sie sich nebenbei noch um die Ehemaligen kümmern. Doch ihre Recherche scheint ins Nichts zu führen, und während in Amerika immer weiter Woodwalker und seltene Tiere verschwinden, tauchen alte Freunde wieder auf, die sich als Feinde entpuppen...
