I woke up with a gasp. I looked over to the window. It was night. I groaned and sat up. "Really, Damien? You could've woken me up!" No one answered. I scowled and got off the bed. At least I'm still in my clothes. "Damien? Hello?" I walked over to the window, looking at the scenery. All of the city lights were on. They were actually pretty in the dark. I turned around to look at the bed, and my jaw dropped. I was still on the bed. I was watching myself sleep. I watched closer. No, I wasn't asleep. I wasn't moving. I wasn't breathing. I drew in a deep breath, trying to calm down. Okay, try to remember what last happened. You fell asleep when Damien was holding you, so then what? I heard a sound in the bathroom, and I jumped. The door was open, and the lights were on, so I managed to get myself to move toward the bathroom. Inside, Damien was at the sink. It looked like he was washing out his mouth. "Um, Damien? Why can I see my body on the bed?" He didn't acknowledge me at all. With a sinking heart, I realized that he was cleaning something red out of his mouth. Blood red. "What...." I backed out of the doorway. There's no way. Am I dead? That's impossible.... I slipped on nothing from my panic and fell on my butt. I held back a cry. I started to shake. "Why is this happening? Is this really happening? Or is this just a dream?" "It's not a dream." Lenore Walker was simple. Just a teenage girl that hated everything. She hated people, hated high school, hated life. Just when she thought nothing could get worse, a new guy joins her school and tears her away from her life. Lenore must now survive becoming a vampire since many are out for her blood. Will she make it to her wedding that will improve her safety? Will she get revenge against the one that killed her brother? Will she discover the truth behind the Servant of the Night?

A twist off of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" fitted to Edgar Allan Poe and his wife, Virginia. Several quotes from Poe's works are used in this, and I take no credit for his brilliant work, I only use it to further the depth of my story.

I mean it's right in the name, Monica meaning Solitary. At a young age Monica learned to never get close to someone, because when they leave it'll break your heart. What bothers Monica most are the pitying stares of her peers and strangers. She had mostly gotten over the grief and guilt from the loss of her family, she didn't need the constant reminder she was different than the rest. Monica stirs up a storm in the small town with just her mysterious background and downcast look.She's deemed the social outcast until she runs into classmate Hunter Michaels. Bearing a mysterious and lonely past of his own, this bad boy has earned the title of player because of how he never dates a girl for too long before getting rid of her. Is there a method for his madness or is he one of the guys just looking for a good bang?
