Emma Sparks was star of the volleyball team back at her old school. No, high school wasn't torture for her, because she was content being recognized on the court but not in the hallways. She had a close band of friends, no boy friend, and she was a wallflower. But she was happy. Now here she was, more excited than she had ever been for any summer. She had finally graduated junior year, and her summer would be the best yet. Her group of friends had planned a trip to Hawaii, as a whole of them. She would hang out with her friends and be in Hawaii. Her spirits crashed when she found out she would have the spend the summer in Miami. And now, she couldn't be less excited. But Emma doesn't know this summer would probably be just as fun as it would be, just because of one boy sitting in the plane next to her.

People never look close enough to see how a person is actually feeling. Some people are gifted. They can see beyond a person's mask by just a glance. With their perfect eyesight, they can see through every false emotion or illusion. They don't know why this happens or how they ended up with it. They don't even have a name for it, and do not even bother coming up with one. They just assume that it may be a gift from God or that their genes must have messed up in some way. Putting that thought aside, they just continue on with their life, not really giving it much thought. Then there's me. I happen to be gifted with this "blessing," though something must have gone wrong during my birth. I don't know if it was just my parents genes being messed up, or that if God was playing a joke on me, but my gift ended up being incomplete. Meaning, I didn't get the WHOLE package like the other people did. Instead, I ended up with a common weakness. A weakness so mundane it makes me embarrassed just thinking about it. And because of this, I didn't get to "see" the whole world right. Let's just say that sometimes, glasses can be a real pain. ~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTE: I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT ALL PEOPLE WITH GLASSES OUT THERE ARE AWESOME AND DESERVE THE BEST INSTEAD OF BEING JUDGED BY THEM. BE PROUD THAT YOU HAVE GLASSES, IT MAKES YOU SPECIAL IN YOUR OWN WAY :D P.S: This is my first time writing a story officially, so please be assured that they will be many spelling and grammar mistakes ;;
