Laine isn't exactly a normal 15 year old girl, she's neither a mutant or a human. She's an experiment, but she was once a normal girl. A normal human girl. However, she is now a girl with a power of field manipulation: magnetic, electric, gravity and also the Earth's magnetic field. She is a dangerous weapon gone rogue. While escaping from the people who have made her the most deadliest weapon on Earth, she stumbles into Charles Xavier. He quickly senses her powers and her tormented form. He offers her a chance to control her new born powers at his school. But she's afraid, she doesn't know if she can trust him. Not just yet. (Based during X-men First Class)
