When Kurapika pushes himself too far with his Emperor Time ability and passes out, Bill calls for a doctor. Kurapika wakes to find his old friend by his bedside. A little "what if?" Leopika one shot imagining what might've happened if Leorio had come to take care of Kurapika during the Succession War when he passed out. Very minor spoilers for the Succession War arc. Leorio and Kurapika haven't seen each other in years, hell, they don't even have each other's numbers, but when one of the people who Kurapika stole his clan's eyes from seeks revenge on Kurapika, his life is turned upside down. Being legally disabled, Kurapika is unable to continue his mission, and has to move in with his surgeon, who just happens to be Leorio.The two start to reconnect, and develop an unbreakable bond. Leorio confesses his feelings, and Kurapika has to confront them.

Gon and Killua had a long day. They celebrated New Years with Kurapika and Leorio and went to bed. But little did they know, there changes that we're waiting to be discovered in the morning...

Years after leaving the Zodiacs, Kurapika and Leorio reunite in an unlikely situation. Trying to be friends again is going to be difficult, especially since Leorio is moving in and they have their own lives. But something is definitely still there, maybe it's more than a friendship. ***This story takes place after the manga, however, it is safe to read and hopefully spoiler-free*** I don't think I'm too good at getting characters' personalities canon in fanfiction so please forgive me!
