He froze up when he saw her face and he looked entirely stunned for about half a second before he locked it down and regained his soldier-face. He cleared his throat roughly. "Sorry," though what he was apologetic for, she was unsure. "Can you move?" She wanted to say, 'i'll keep it real, man. i'm out of commission. i'm fixin' to pass out.' Instead, her brain blurted something far more intelligent and sophisticated: "Your helmet is crooked." He blinked and tilted his head and readjusted his plumed helmet. Then something twitched at the corner of his mouth. "Your ankle's crooked," he said, and his tone was almost sassy. He directed his head at the tunnel door. Based on the Disney+ adaptation with some tidbits from the books and movies. Poppy Asher was semi-aware of her heritage from the moment she was born. Whenever the rest of the town faced a crop shortage, her home was thriving with water, greenery, and the garden blossomed. A single touch from Poppy brought a dead flower back to life.
