Emerson had always thought that leprechauns didn't exist. They were just the stupid, wise tales that were told by her grandfather. She knew about the buckle shoes and the solitary confinement; the fact that they were always male; their job as a cobbler; their pots of gold at the end of rainbows. She wasn't at all lacking in information about these magical creatures, since she knew it all. Yet there was something she didn't know. That one little detail was going to change her whole life. What she didn't know was that leprechauns were real. They once said that if you ever come a cross a leprechaun, you must hold onto them tight. Leprechauns were tricksters and they had a tendency to slip away without any sound. But when Emerson was forced to live with a Gambling Obsessed Leprechaun, many wishes were made. Irish folklore, when mentioned to many people, conjures up images of banshees, fairies, leprechauns and people gathering around, sharing stories. So I thought maybe I should share those stories?

You could talk to him forever and when you hear his voice, you fall in love all over again and no matter what he says or does, you never give up on him. I guess you can say... He's perfect for me. Or I'm perfect for him. They call us the perfect two and yet we were completely the opposite. It was bittersweet and heartache, him and I. No words could explain it. Normally, things won't work, love would fade... and it'll all be over. That's how every story in reality goes. But ya know what's funny? It didn't turn out that way like I thought it would. Just some short stories that I write for contests, for fun or for practising my writing skills.

This is just a little book of poetry that I'm putting together, inspired by all sorts, but mostly just my emotions at the time. I hope that you like it, and please tell me what you think x

The 1st fantasy book I wrote & am going to share here was inspired by two true stories from my mother's youth. She really had a short friend with beard who 'looked like a leprechaun' & fell in love with her, but she chose someone else. And a bat really sat on her windowsill one stormy night & scared her making some noise, but didn't fly inside the room (vampires need invitation, right? ;) ). She told me about it when I was a little girl. I remembered it & many years later I decided to write this book. The main character here is called Liliana, just like me. She's based on me & has most of the features I really have (+ some magical leprechaun & vampire superpowers she discovers when she grows up). There are also some memories from my real life past included in this story, but the rest is just pure imagination, as you will soon find out. Liliana has always differed from her human peers, she was stronger & more intelligent than other kids of her age. She learnt faster than them, had an inborn sense of justice, she loved nature & music, & when she grew out of bedtime stories, she started to like horror movies. Her favourite monsters have always been vampires. She also had some vampire features herself, but not totally. In a mild but noticeable way: her skin was quite pale & she got sunburned much easier than her friends, as a teen she started to look younger than other humans of her age, her teeth were stronger than human teeth & her nails were also stronger & growing faster than human nails. All of her senses were stronger too. And one night she had a dream that finally explained it all. That is how her story of discovering who she really was begins, cause she finds out that she's something more than just a human being, as she's always thought...

Ash and Jo were the perfect couple. They were best friends all through their life and then fell in love at the mere age of 12. Follow them through sadness, tears and happiness!
